Toronto Raptors vs. Philadelphia 76ers Game 6 Prediction

The Philadelphia 76ers will travel to the six tonight for a battle between the Toronto Raptors. This looked like a run-away series in favor of the 76ers, but the Raptors have quickly flipped the script.

The Raptors took care of business at home and avoided the sweep, but the real shocking win came when the Raptors won in Philly. The 76ers came out flat, falling behind in the first quarter, and just never really got on a run. Joel Embiid had his worst game of the postseason, and no other 76er stepped up in spite of Him. The Raptors were short-handed for the win, and they will be shorthanded once again tonight.

Fred VanVleet will miss tonight’s game for the second straight time. VanVleet was an all-star this season, so this is a large hole to fill. Pascal Siakam has been their best player in the playoffs and will need to have a massive game tonight if they want to pull off this upset. Gary Trent Jr. and OG Anunoby are other guys who need to come prepared tonight if the Raptors want to force a game seven in the city of brotherly love.

Joel Embiid and company will look to avoid being the fourth team in NBA history to go from 3-0 to 3-3. No team in the history of the NBA has blown a 3-0 lead. The pressure is clearly on the 76ers here, so we will find out a lot about this team's mental toughness tonight because they are clearly the more talented team right now.

I am backing the 76ers here on the short moneyline tonight. The Raptors are public dogs which I love to fade, but I really think this is a steal of a line on the 76ers tonight. Fred VanVleet was the best player on the Raptors this season, and they will not have him for tonight’s game. The 76ers came out flat in game five, but I expect a focused effort from Joel Embiid and James Harden tonight.

There is a little bit of pressure back on Toronto, which they did not have the last couple of games. I think this will be a factor tonight. Sometimes, it is much easier to play down 3-0 or 3-1 because you are playing with nothing to lose. Now we will see some pressure back on the Raptors at home tonight. I am fired up for this game. Let’s keep things rolling on the hardwood!
