Toronto Raptors vs Philadelphia 76ers Prediction: Gotta Back OG Anunoby

When I was a kid, "OG" meant "Original Gangster". The term came from an album released in 1991 by the great Ice-T. The album itself was fantastic. Hits like "New Jack Hustler" and "O.G. Original Gangster" are what the album will be remembered for but for my money, it doesn't get any better than "The Tower". Buried at the end of the album it's a great primer for anyone that might be on their way to prison. Even if you're not waiting to be sentenced now, if you think there is ever a chance you'll end up doing a bid, I highly recommend giving it a listen. I'm not sure OG Anunoby was named after this album since he was born in 1997 in London, England, I'm just saying it's a great coincidence that gives bettors confidence that they picked the right guy. Total alpha. On top of that, FanDuel is giving us a great number. We have to do this.

Toronto Raptors vs Philadelphia 76ers Prediction

I think Anunoby is either going 20+ or less than 15 so that's why I chose to play this at FanDuel. If you want to go the traditional route, DraftKings has a perfectly reasonable 17.5 at -110. Go nuts if you want. I'm just at the point where I can't even get excited for a -110 move. Don't worry, I'll figure it out. Just wanted everyone to know where I am mentally right now. It's kind of heroic to do that if you think about it.

This kid can ball. We all know that. I can imagine the books know that too which is why I think it's crazy they are letting us do this. I mean the guy has taken at least 14 shots in each of the last two games. He even had a bucket taken away last game because they said he "didn't get it off before the shot clock expired". Whatever. He still dropped 26.

I can already hear the haters now. I know they are going to talk about Gary Trent Jr. I like Gary Trent Jr. as much as the next guy but I think the guy we need to be talking about is Scottie Barnes. He's the reason OG will see some volume tonight. From what I've heard, his ankle is nowhere near ready. He could even miss the next game. Even if Trent Jr. comes back tonight, I still think OG sees elevated shot attempts. Can't score if you don't shoot people. It's literally half the battle.

Now I get that Philadelphia is a decent defensive team but like I already mentioned, OG just banged them out for 26. Do you think he won't do that again in front of his own fans? On top of that, the 76ers will be missing one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA in Matisse Thybulle. I know he hasn't played more than 18 minutes in either game so far but still. It feels good to say it. I think Toronto will be as hungry as they have been all season tonight. If they lose, this series is all but over and they know it. It's times like these that OGs step up. That's just how OGs work.
