We are fresh off a 3-0 sweep yesterday, and I am looking to run that back tonight. The first game I want to get into will be a battle between the Toronto Raptors and the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers will play host tonight in the city of brotherly love, and they will look to jump out to a 1-0 series lead. The Raptors will look to play spoiler tonight and steal one on the road to kick off the series.

The 76ers are the number four seed, and the Raptors enter the playoffs as the five. These teams played four times during the regular season. Three of those games were won by Toronto. MVP Candidate Joel Embiid has led Philly. Embiid won the scoring title this season and showed that the Center position is still relevant. He has put up historic numbers this year, but his real goal is to bring a championship to Philly. The 76ers made headlines when they added shooting guard James Harden to the team. Harden had a hot start when coming over to Philly, but his play down the stretch was subpar. This is a big playoff series for Harden and Embiid, who will look to silence the critics.

The Raptors have been led by first-time all-star and the pride of Wichita State, Fred Vanvleet. Pascal Siakam has enjoyed a stellar season in addition to the great shooting by former Duke star Gary Trent Jr. This is a Raptors team led by one of the best minds in the NBA in the form of Nick Nurse. Nurse who has won a championship will have to have a good game plan for Embiid and Harden if Toronto wants to pull off the game one upset.

Tyrese Maxey is another play to keep an eye on in this series as he has had a breakout season. Maxey plays with no fear and a ton of heart which makes him loved in the city of brotherly love. I have this line closer to the seven to eight range so getting four here is a gift in my eyes. I believe people are overreacting to the regular-season matchups, but I am putting little to no stock in them. The playoffs are a different animal, and Philly is going to come out ready to go.
