NBA Parlay Picks Breakdown

The Washington Wizards are missing their best player and numerous other rotation players, factor in their 4-6 record over their last 10 games, and you start to feel comfortable betting against them. It's a shame really because the Wizards started the season brightly, and then things just fell apart - even the addition of Kristaps Porzingis hasn't helped change their fortunes. But tonight, Porzingis will be tasked with leading the line against his former team the Dallas Mavericks, and the odds don't look good. Dallas is one of the best defensive teams in the NBA and can lean on Luka Doncic when things get hard - a luxury most teams don't have. Dallas has won 7 of their last 10 and is one of the most in-form teams in the Western Conference right now, which is why a money line feels justified.

The Toronto Raptors are a unique team. They don't boast a star talent, they take a ton of mid-range shots, and they don't excel at anything in particular. Yet, somehow, Nick Nurse has his team playing an enjoyable brand of basketball based around size and athleticism - and it's working. Toronto is 8-2 over their last 10 games, as they continue to will themselves past their opponents. That hot streak should continue tonight, as the Raptors face off against Eastern Conference strugglers, the Orlando Magic. Don't get me wrong, the future looks bright for Orlando, but the present is a different story. The Magic are a young and vibrant team, waiting for their talent to mature into legitimate NBA players, and while that's the ideal way to build a roster, it doesn't help win games in the short term. Orlando has lost 7 of their last 10 games and doesn't project as a team to trouble Toronto tonight, which is why I'm riding the money line.

The final game of the parlay sees the Milwaukee Bucks face off against the Los Angeles Clippers, and I'm favoring Milwaukee. Finally healthy, the Bucks are quickly reminding everyone of why they're the current NBA champions, and why Giannis Antetokounmpo is arguably the most impactful player in the league - you only have to look at their win against the Brooklyn Nets last night as proof. On the other hand, the Clippers may be feeling good about themselves after Paul George's return to the rotation, but without Kawhi Leonard, they're not on Milwaukee's level. Sure, on the second night of a back-to-back, tired legs could open the door for an upset, and we don't know the roster status due to neither team releasing their injury report at the time of writing. But, I like the Bucks a lot recently, they're 7-and-3 over their last 10 and fighting for home-court advantage. I'm rolling with the Bucks on the money line here because I think they're hitting top gear at the perfect time.

The Boston Celtics have dropped their last two games, and considering the loss of Robert Williams to injury, that's understandable as they continue to readjust their game plan. However, their opponents for tonight, the Indiana Pacers, are without their starting big man too, so the playing field has been leveled. Sure, the Celtics will need to keep tabs on impressive guard Tyrese Haliburton, but I don't know how the Pacers plan on slowing down Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, especially given Malcolm Brogdon, Goga Bitzade, TJ McConnell, T.J. Warren, and Chris Duarte are either out or questionable. Indiana has limited depth right now, and limited talent available to them, while Boston is at full strength outside of Williams. So, I'm expecting the Celtics to get back in the win column tonight, and by a hefty margin, which is why I'm riding the money line all the way to the bank. Also expect a potential double-double performance from Tatum in points and assists, because the Pacers don't have anyone who can contain him.

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Phoenix Suns Same-Game Parlay

Bet $5 on Grizzlies vs. Suns and win $200 if your team wins

Tonight looks like a scheduled loss for the Memphis Grizzlies as they enter the day without Ja Morant and potentially without Jaren Jackson Jr., Steven Adams, Desmond Bane, and Tyus Jones. If you're missing one of your stars against the Phoenix Suns, things don't look good for you, if you're missing both stars plus a couple of core rotation players, it might be time to wave the white flag in surrender. The Suns are currently the best team in the league, both statistically and stylistically, and the Grizzlies would have had a hard enough time at full strength. If none of the Grizzlies' questionable players get cleared for action, this game feels like a no-contest. Heck, if Triple J doesn't play, the result is basically a forgone conclusion, especially when the Suns are pretty much at full strength, and will even have JaVale McGee back off the bench. I can't even bring myself to consider Memphis covering the spread, there are simply too many variables, all of which feel unrealistic. So, it looks like we're rounding out our day with yet another money line parlay.
