NBA Parlay Picks For Wednesday: Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat, Suns vs. Warriors, And More

Wednesday's NBA Parlay Picks

Odds: +136 (Bet $100 to Win $136)

The Indiana Pacers have lost 7 of their last 10 games and will be in for another difficult night when they face the Denver Nuggets later today. Myles Turner's continued absence is hurting the Pacers on both ends of the floor, and following their decision to trade away Domantas Sabonis, the Pacers will struggle for big bodies to throw at MVP front runner Nikola Jokic - who is also the reigning MVP. The Pacers could also be without Malcolm Brogdon, Goga Bitadze, TJ McConnell, Ricky Rubio, and TJ Warren - which is a large chunk of the team's primary rotation. The Nuggets are in a different spot having won 5 of their last 10, and other than their usual injury-reported names, are fully healthy. I like Denver coming into tonight's game, especially when considering how bad the Pacers are struggling at present. So, I'll be backing Denver on the money line.

The San Antonio Spurs woke up this morning having moved into the NBA play-in tournament spots, courtesy of another Los Angeles Lakers loss. The Spurs aren't the most talented team in the league, not by a long shot, but they will be full of motivation when they face off against the Memphis Grizzlies tonight. Of course, Memphis isn't going to roll over for anybody, and their success this season speaks for itself, but if there was ever a trap gap, this is it. Greg Popovich's long and illustrious career is slowly coming to an end and giving him a shot at playoff basketball with being a huge driving factor for the Spurs players over the remaining games. Still, I'm expecting the Grizzlies - even without Ja Morant - to win tonight. However, I'm not one to count my chickens, so will be backing the Spurs on a +11 spread.

The final game on this three-team parlay sees the New York Knicks face off against the Charlotte Hornets, and to be honest, I find this contest interesting. The Knicks have been playing far better over the last week or so, and their performances coincide with multiple young guys getting their chance to impress. Over their last 10 games, the Knicks are 6-4 which is a vast improvement from what we've seen from them throughout the season. However, the Charlotte Hornets - who lost to the Knicks last Wednesday, are no joke, and will probably be out for revenge. Charlotte has won 7 of their last 10 games and finds themselves fighting for the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference - a seeding that could see them make the playoffs after just one play-in game, should things fall in their favor. So, they've got a reason to be playing hard and will be even more focused after getting humbled by the Knicks last week. In terms of injuries, neither team has anything new to report, so we will essentially be witnessing a rematch between these two squads. I like the Hornets for this contest, as motivation can be a powerful tool, still, I'll be backing New York on a +9-point spread, you know, just to give us a good chance of seeing some profit.

The Boston Celtics will be encouraged by the news that Robert Williams could potentially return during the playoffs, after initially fearing he was out for the season. Still, the team will need to navigate the next six or so weeks without their primary rim protector, and that will cause them some issues tonight against the Miami Heat. Sure, Bam Adebayo and co. are currently sliding down the conference standings, and there looks to be some in-fighting between the players and coaching staff, but the Heat always play the Celtics close, and I'm not expecting that to change here. However, it's tough to overlook Miami's 4-6 record over the last 10 games. I think that Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Al Horford returning to the Celtics lineup tonight will make them slight favorites, especially when considering how well the team played against the Toronto Raptors earlier this week, despite being four starters down. Still, I will give us a chance to cover any variants here and take the Celtics on a +7.5 spread. In terms of player props, I'm expecting Tatum to pick up where he left off - which is borderline MVP level production, and for Smart to find his range from deep - as he has more often than not since the turn of the year.

If the Phoenix Suns were playing anybody other than the Golden State Warriors tonight, I probably would have taken the money line. But when it comes to Steve Kerr's team, I always expect the unexpected - and in this game, that would be a Warriors win. The Suns are ranked second in defensive rating and second in offensive rating for the season, giving them a league-leading net rating, they're also the first seed in the Western Conference. Simply put, the Suns, who are 9-1 over their last 10 games, are the team to beat. The Warriors, on the other hand, are 4-6 over their last 10 games and look to be biding their time until Stephen Curry returns. Sure, Jordan Poole is having a breakout end to the season, and Draymond Green has helped shore up their defense, but they're not the dominant force we saw to start the year. Golden State currently ranks 15th in offensive rating and third in defensive rating, so they're far from awful, but they're also not at the Suns' level at present. I like Phoenix for the W tonight, but as I said, I always expect the unexpected from the Warriors, which is why I'm backing the Suns on a +5-point spread - that way, we've got opportunities no matter what transpires.
