These two teams have already played each other earlier this year where the Reds took the series on the road, winning two of the three games. The starter for the Reds tonight, Hunter Greene, did not face the Phillies in the last time they faced each other, but will get a look at these red-hot Phillies bats tonight. The Reds are 7-5 at home so far this year and have won their last three games. Can they win a fourth straight tonight? I don't think so.
Ranger Suarez has been lights out so far this year pitching in 26 innings, ERA of 1.73, and 27 strikeouts already. Suarez has been dealing and in his last time out, he throw a complete game shutout with eight strike outs in their 5-0 win versus the Rockies. Not only do I trust the Phillies pitching tonight, I think that their bats will show up tonight. They are 11th in batting average this year, but Hunter Greene has not been good this year as he has a 4.36 ERA and has walked nine batters. I expect the Phillies to get to Greene, and hopefully has a short night on the mound.
This game is going to be a battle as the Reds have been solid this year, but I think in this matchup, I have to take the Phillies on the moneyline. It is easy to trust Suarez and the Phillies bats and as long as Philadelphia can come out strong, I think they can win this one by 3+ runs!
