Ober has been a dependable starter for the Twins' pitching staff this season. He has allowed three runs or less in 16 out of 18 starts and has recorded at least 17 outs in 13 out of 18. Today, he faces a Tigers offense that has really struggled against right-handed pitching. Detroit ranks dead last in wRC+ (83), 28th in batting average (.230), and 29th in OPS (.658) versus righties this season. Over the last two weeks, their numbers haven’t improved; in fact, they are worse in every one of those categories.
