New York Mets vs. Chicago Cubs Prediction
Today, I’m targeting the over on their F5 inning team total at 2.5, which they have exceeded in six of their last eight games. They were only able to manage two runs against Kodai Senga and the New York Mets yesterday, but the opportunity for more was there; they just weren’t able to capitalize because of a few mishaps, including a base running error by Ian Happ that ended the fifth inning.
Carlos Carrasco will take the mound for New York, and he provides a much friendlier matchup for the Cubs. In his last four outings, he’s given up a combined total of 21 runs and has allowed at least three F5-inning runs in all of them. The books have Carrasco’s ERA line set at 2.5 and juiced to the over. He has only pitched past the fifth inning in four out of 16 starts this season, so there’s some value here on the Cubs F5 inning team total.
