San Francisco Giants vs. Cincinnati Reds Prediction: Can Logan Webb Shut Down the Reds?
San Francisco Giants vs. Cincinnati Reds Prediction: Can Logan Webb Shut Down the Reds?
The Cincinnati Reds have come out flat after the All-Star break. The offense has come up flat, with them unable to score a single run in 2/3 games vs the Brewers and only scoring 3 runs in the entire series. They come into play tonight against one of the top pitchers in the National League in Logan Webb. Can Webb add misery to the Reds' offense and continue his strong 2023 season?

San Francisco Giants vs. Cincinnati Reds Prediction
Logan Webb has been one of the most consistent pitchers all year long. Sporting an ERA slightly above 3, he has been the Giants' best pitcher all year long. Especially with the Reds offense struggling as of late, I really love Logan Webb to continue this strong season and pitch a masterclass in Great American Ball Park. Logan Webb has gone over his outs line (17.5) in 16 of 19 starts this year. Webb has hit in 5 of his last 6 games and 15 of his last 17 starts as well. He is coming off a complete game against the Colorado Rockies before the All-Star break. Webb constantly throws 100+ pitches and it's great to see him have a long leash even when he struggles on days. The Reds have the WORST strike-out rate in the last 7 days vs right-handed pitching, up to 39.1%. They're also sporting a .107 batting average, a .175 on-base percentage, and a walk rate of just 6%. All of these dead last in the last 7 days. To get the juice down I will be adding Brandon Williamson to NOT get a win today. He has failed to go more than 5 innings in 5 straight starts and given up 3+ ER in 6 of his last 8 starts as well.
