Australian Open Men's Final Odds

Djokovic, who’s dropped just one set in the entire tournament, is given -550 odds or an implied 84.6% chance to win his record 10th Australian Open title. Meanwhile, Tsitsipas is given +400 odds, or an implied 20% chance to win his first grand slam title. Of course, the winner of this final will also become the new World number 1. A mark that Djokovic has previously held, but would be a new career best for Tsitsipas.

However, bettors are taking the long odds as an opportunity to back the underdog. Tsitsipas has seen 81.3% of bets placed on him to pull off the major upset. Meaning only 18.7% of bets have been placed on Djokovic to continue his Australian dominance.

This is the second straight grand slam final that sees the finalists competing for the number 1 ranking in the world. Djokovic and Tsitsipas have faced each other 12 times in their career. Djoker is 10-2 in those matches. Tsitsipas hasn’t beaten him since 2019. In fact, last year, they played each other 4 times, and Tsitsipas managed to win just one set. So, it’s easy to understand why the books are backing Djokovic so heavily. But bettors will always look to back the underdog and take a shot at the big money when the odds are that big in a final.
