F1 Odds: Lewis Hamilton Given 56.1% Chance To Win Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

The latest F1 odds have spoken. Lewis Hamilton is the favorite to win this week's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which means he's also the favorite to win this season's Formula 1 Drivers' Championship.

Shockingly, Hamilton actually isn't in first place in the driver standings. Hamilton and Max Verstappen are tied at 369.5 points apiece, but Verstappen is technically ahead because he owns the tiebreaker with nine Grand Prix wins to Hamilton's eight this season.

So, what does that mean?

That means whichever driver crosses the finish line before the other this weekend at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be crowned champion. Something that the latest F1 odds have taken into consideration.

Another aspect of this race that has some people buzzing prior to Sunday's finals is that if neither driver was to finish, Verstappen would win. So, in theory, Verstappen could purposefully crash out Hamilton and himself to claim the Drivers' Championship.

However, Formula 1 has already come out and said to remember that they can penalize drivers by taking points away from them, and wouldn't hesitate to do so if a driver was to purposefully take another out.

There are a ton of different things going on in the world of Formula 1 this weekend. So, let's take a look at the latest F1 odds.

F1 Odds - Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Odds

How lopsided are F1 odds when it comes to this weekend's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix? Well, since F1 odds for the race we announced, Hamilton's chances of winning have actually gotten worse.

Earlier in the week, the latest F1 odds had Hamilton at -180 to win the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Now, just a few days later, those same odds have him at -130.

At -180, Hamilton's implied probability was 64.3%. Now, Hamilton's implied probability is 56.5% with his new -130 odds. It's not entirely clear what happened, but oddsmakers have clearly started to like Verstappen's chances.

As for the Drivers' Championship, the latest F1 odds are souring on Hamilton there as well.

While he is still the favorite, Hamilton was -200 to win the Championship earlier in the week. No, on Friday, F1 odds have Hamilton at -180.
