F1 Odds: Who Is Going To Win The Formula 1 Drivers' Championship?

For fans of Formula 1, this season is coming down to a dream finish with the Formula 1 Drivers' Championship still up for grabs as we enter the final race of the season, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. We don't know exactly who is going to win the race, but we do know what the latest F1 odds have to say about it.

This is the first time in the 47 years that two Formula 1 drivers enter the final race of the season tied in points. Verstappen and Hamilton both come into Abu Dhabi with 369.5 points, with Verstappen technically holding onto a lead due to his nine Grand Prix wins this season. Hamilton has eight.

So, what are the different scenarios for a win for each driver and how have the F1 odds been impacted? Well, it's pretty simple. The first driver to cross the finish line first while the checkered flag waves wins the Drivers' Championship.

So, let's take a look at this weekend's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, what we can expect and break down the latest F1 odds ahead of this final weekend of the season.

F1 Odds: Drivers' Championship Odds

So, now that we know what each driver needs to do to win the Drivers' Championship, let's take a look at the latest F1 odds and how they look for both Lewis Hamilton, of Mercedes, and Max Verstappen, of Red Bull.

It may be a surprise to some, but Lewis Hamilton is the favorite to win this season's Drivers' Championship. It's not a surprise if you're talking historical success. After all, Hamilton has won four straight and six of the last seven. But, it may be a bit of a shock to see the F1 odds break out that way because he's technically still behind Verstappen in the standings, despite winning last week in Saudi Arabia.

According to the latest F1 odds, Hamilton is -180 to win the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and -200 to win the Drivers' Championship. That means he has an implied probability of 64.3% of winning the race and an implied probability of 66.7% of finishing better than Verstappen.

As for Max Verstappen, the F1 odds are not exactly in his favor to claim his first-ever championship.

As of today, Verstappen sits at +220 to win the Drivers' Championship, but his odds to win the race are +162, which would in turn also win him the title.
