Katie Ledecky Olympics Odds

Katie Ledecky won her first gold medal at the old age of 15-years old. It’s impossible to know what it feels like to be the best swimmer in the world at such a young age, but that was her reality.

Then, in 2016, Katie Ledecky burst onto the scene. She won four gold medals, three of which came in individual events, and a silver in the 4x100 freestyle relay.

The last time we saw Ledecky on an international stage came at the 2019 World Championships. Her performance could be categorized as disappointing, for her, as she won gold in the 800-meter free, silver in the 400 meter free and another silver in a relay. But, it was revealed that she was battling illness the entire time she was at worlds and was even forced to withdraw from the 1500-meter freestyle, her signature event, at the 400-meter free.

So, what do Katie Ledecky’s Olympic odds look like? The rule of thumb with Ledecky is the longer the race, the shorter her odds. She absolutely dominates long distance swims.  She’s the favorite to 800-meter freestyle at -370 and a massive -550 favorite in the 1500-meter free. But, in the 200 and 400 meter freestyle, it’s Australian Ariane Titmus that is favored at -220 and -190, respectively.

Katie Ledecky’s 200-Meter Freestyle Odds: +270

Katie Ledecky’s 400-Meter Butterfly Odds: +130

Katie Ledecky’s 800-Meter Butterfly Odds: -320

Katie Ledecky’s 1500-Meter Butterfly Odds: -550
