Masters Odds: Tiger Woods Given Just 2.8% Chance Of Defending Masters Crown By Oddsmakers

Tiger Woods created one of the greatest sporting comebacks in history when winning his 15th Major championship last April at the 2019 Masters and many thought at the time that he had a chance of kicking on to catch Jack Nicklaus’ elusive 18 Major haul. Since then, things haven’t gone quite to plan for Tiger, who has struggled for fitness and form since the resumption of golf back in June.

Sportsbooks are aligned that Tiger has just an outside chance of capturing a sixth Masters title, with best odds of +3500 indicating just a 2.8% chance of victory. Despite not being in contention recently, it’s always been thought that all roads this season leads to next week at Augusta, so don’t be too surprised if the cat is prowling near the top of the leaderboard next Sunday.

Away from Tiger Woods, Bryson DeChambeau is at the head of the betting for this year’s Masters and can be backed at +800 to win his first Green Jacket. DeChambeau has been the most talked about player in the game since his incredible transformation, now widely known as the most powerful player in Golf. It will be interesting to see if his power can dominate Augusta like it can many other courses on the Tour. As reported earlier this week, not only is he the favorite with oddsmakers, but he’s also very popular with bettors too. In the last 24 hours, he and Jason Day have been the best backed golfers for Masters glory, taking in 5.64% and 5.11% respectively of total wagers on the market.
