The French Open starts next week and sportsbooks are wary of Dominic Thiem after he won the US Open. Rafa Nadal is the +100 favorite, unsurprising given his dominance on clay and his 12 titles at Roland Garros.

Thiem is however level in the betting with the world number one, Novak Djokovic. The Serb was heavy favorite to win the US Open but was booted from the tournament after unintentionally striking an official in the face with a ball. Dominic Thiem took full advantage and secured his first grand slam win.

The Austrian is now a best price of +300 to win in France, the same as Djokovic, also at +300. However, one bookie has Thiem at +250, shorter than any price currently available for the 33-year old with 81 career titles.

Behind Thiem and Djokovic, the next favorite is Daniil Medvedev at +3000, highlighting that Thiem has now ascended and become part of a 'big 3'.

French Open Odds

Dominic Thiem +300

Novak Djokovic +300

Daniil Medvedev +3000

Stefanos Tsitsipas +3300

Alexander Zverev +4000
