US Open Odds: Andy Murray Most Backed Ahead of US Open
Novak Djokovic comes into this year’s US Open as the overwhelming favorite, but bettors have been eyeing a well-known long shot to win his second US Open Trophy instead.
Djokovic, who has won the event three times, comes in with best odds of -125, implying a 55.6% chance he wins the tournament for the fourth time in his career.
The next shortest odds for a competitor belong to Daniil Medvedev. The 24-year old Russian currently sits at +600.
But it isn’t Medvedev or Djokovic that are the most backed ahead of Monday’s opening round.

Instead, Andy Murray, who comes in at +6500, has been the most bet player in the past week leading up to the event.
Despite just a 1.5% chance of winning, according to his odds, 32% of bettors are putting their money behind him.
In comparison, 30% of bettors have gone to the window for Djokovic in the past week.
Last year’s champion, Rafael Nadal, is not competing this year. Neither is 5-time champion Roger Federer.
