Golden Globes Predictions

Golden Globes Best Actor in Drama Odds

Actor - FilmOdds
Austin Butler - Elvis-250
Brendan Fraser - The Whale+187
Bill Nighy - Living+1600
Hugh Jackman - The Son+2000
Jeremy Pope - The Inspection+2200

Oddsmakers have been going back and forth between Austin Butler in "Elvis" and Brendan Fraser to win this category for “The Whale.” With -250 odds, Butler has an implied 71.4% chance of taking home this prestigious award. Fraser, on the other hand, sits at +187 odds, with a 34.8% chance. Both of these actors put on one of their best performances and blew away millions.

  • Prediction: Brendan Fraser, The Whale (+187) Bet $100 to collect $287.

Golden Globes Best Actor in Musical or Comedy Odds

Actor - FilmOdds
Colin Farrell - The Banshees of Inisherin-700
Daniel Craig - A Knives Out Mystery+600
Diego Calva - Babylon+900
Adam Driver - White Noise+1800
Ralph Fiennes - The Menu+2500

Colin Farrell has previously won this Golden Globe for his film, “In Bruges". This could very well be the actor's second award. With -700 odds, there is an 87.5% chance he wins this Golden Globe. I can't picture a scenario where Farrell does not bring this award home.

  • Prediction: Collin Farrell, The Banshees of Inisherin (-700) Bet $100 to collect $114.

Golden Globes Best Actress in Drama Odds

Actor - FilmOdds
Cate Blanchett - Tar-275
Michelle Williams - The Fabelmans+400
Ana de Armas - Blonde+800
Viola Davis - The Woman King+900
Olivia Colman - Empire of Light+1600

While Cate Blanchett in "Tar" is listed as oddsmakers' favorite, Michelle Williams in "The Fabelmans" is not far behind and may sneak the win here. This category is filled with iconic actresses and is even missing other equally talented actresses. This is a competitive category that has oddsmakers going back and forth. Oddsmakers give Blanchett the best chance of winning with odds of -274 or a 73.3% chance.

  • Prediction: Michelle Williams, The Fabelmans (+400) Bet $100 to collect $500.

Golden Globes Best Actress in Musical or Comedy Odds

Actor - FilmOdds
Michelle Yeoh - Everything Everywhere All at Once-600
Margot Robbie - Babylon+550
Emma Thompson - Good Luck to You Leo Grande+1400
Anya Taylor-Joy - The Menu+1600
Lesley Manville - Mrs Harris Goes to Paris+1800

Oddsmakers are predicting Michelle Yeoh to win this award with -600 odds. If Yeoh can win this Golden Globe, it will make her the second Asian actress ever after Awkwafina won one for “The Farewell” back in 2019. With an implied chance of 85.7%, it's highly likely she does and I'm hoping so as well. My money's on Michelle after her phenomenal performance in "Everything Everywhere All at Once".

  • Prediction: Michelle Yeoh, Everything Everywhere All at Once (-600) Bet $100 to collect $116.

Golden Globes Best Director Odds

Director - FilmOdds
Steven Spielberg - The Fabelmans-225
Daniel Scheinert - Daniel Kwan - Everything Everywhere All at Once+300
James Cameron - Avatar The Way of Water+800
Baz Luhrmann - Elvis+1000
Martin McDonagh - The Banshees of Inisherin+1200

Every single movie listed to win this award was spectacular. The Fabelmans, directed by Steven Spielberg, is a semi-autobiographical movie about Spielberg himself. At -225 odds, there is a 69.2% chance Spielberg wins this Golden Globe. Both Cameron and Spielberg have already won this Golden Globes category in the past, but there is a good chance they will win it again.

  • Prediction: Steven Spielberg, The Fabelmans (-225). Bet $100 to collect $144.

Best Drama Picture Odds

FilmOdds
The Fabelmans-175
Top Gun - Maverick+350
Elvis+500
Avatar - The Way of Water+700
Tar+1600

Movies about singers and artists have done very well in the past in Hollywood Award Banquets. This is why it's not surprising to see Elvis listed in the top 5 and might end up sneaking its way to win. However, oddsmakers are favoring Tom Cruise and Top Gun Maverick above, which is also not surprising since Cruise has won three Golden Globes already.

  • Prediction: Elvis (+500) Bet $100 to collect $600.

Best Musical or Comedy Picture Odds

FilmOdds
Everything Everywhere All at Once-225
The Banshees of Inisherin+150
Babylon+2000
Glass Onion - A Knives Out Mystery+2000
Triangle of Sadness+2500

This is another category that has had oddsmakers going back and forth about. "Everything Everywhere All at Once" is currently favored at -225 with a 69.2% chance of winning, but "The Banshees of Inisherin" is right behind at +150 with a 40% chance of winning this Golden Globe category. Who will win? "The Banshees of Inisherin" is led by an excellent cast, featuring eight leading roles, and will ultimately take home this award in my opinion.

  • Prediction: The Banshees of Inisherin (+150) Bet $100 to collect $250.
