Happy Gilmore 2 Sequel Is On According To Adam Sandler & Christopher McDonald

Adam Sandler and Christopher McDonald joined ‘The Dan Patrick Show’ earlier in the week to discuss the 25th anniversary of Happy Gilmore, and when asked about a potential sequel the response was very encouraging.

When Dan Patrick asked about the sequel, McDonald gave it a big thumbs up when asked if about the potential of a follow up. Adam Sandler then said “Yes. Yes, you can green light this”.

This is huge news not only to all golf fans but all loves of Adam Sandler!

Obviously this doesn’t confirm the film is in production, but with millions of fans around the world begging for a Happy Gilmore reunion it will be hard to ignore.

It didn’t take long for sports betting sites to put out odds on a potential Happy Gilmore 2, and ones Australian sportsbook’s odds imply there’s 30.8% chance the Happy Gilmore sequel pre-production announcement will be made before 01/01/2022.

To put those odds into context, the odds for LeBron James winning the regular season MVP with PointsBet currently stand at +190, which implies a 34.5% chance! It’s on!

Unfortunately, US residents can’t bet on if there will be a sequel or who will appear in it just yet. However, sports betting is legal in various states including Colorado, New Jersey and Virginia (plus many others). All the big sportsbook offer new users eye-watering welcome bonuses. Happy Gilmore 2: Who Will Appear In The Sequel

We can obviously expect Happy Gilmore and Shooter McGavin to feature on the sequel, but the first film was littered with cameos from the likes of Lee Trevino, Bob Barker and Mark Lye.

The popularity of golf has only increased since the first Happy Gilmore, and so has the money involved. However, there are numerous characters on the PGA Tour who would have grown up with the film, and would jump at the opportunity to feature.

Luckily one sportsbook has given odds on people to make an appearance in Happy Gilmore 2.

The betting favorite is Greg Norman, according to the odds, there’s a 13.3% chance that he’ll appear in the sequel. The Australian, is a legend of the game, and The Shark is exactly the sort of character you want to see alongside Adam Sandler.

Then we move onto current PGA Tour players, and like every other golf betting market this year, the world number one comes first. Sportsbooks are offering odds of 11.1% that Dustin Johnson will feature in the Happy Gilmore sequel. We know DJ likes to enjoy himself, but aren’t too sure his acting skills are up to scratch.

Not only is Dustin Johnson the favorite current PGA Tour player to feature in Happy Gilmore, he’s also favorite for the Masters in a couple of months.

Next up is Jason Day, the second Aussie on the list. Jason Day’s odds imply he’s got a 10% chance of making the cut and featuring with Happy and Shooter.

Jordan Spieth is surging back to form on the PGA Tour, and it might be in time to make his first big film feature. Spieth’s odds imply he’s got a 8.3% chance of making an appearance.

Interestingly, Brooke Hendersen features in the betting market, the Canadian’s odds imply a 2.9% chance.

There’s one name which leaps out to us, and that’s Rory McIlroy. If we were to have a bet on the market we would be targeting the Northern Irishman at massive odds of +3300. McIlroy is great in front of camera, and has the right sort of sense of humor to make it work. Rory McIlroy to actor, what do you think?
