Houssem Aouar has 95% chance of joining Arsenal
It’s been a long transfer window for Arsenal soccer fans with plenty of rumors swirling around, however it seems set that one of the biggest signings of the summer could be about to come true for the Gunners. Lyon’s Houssem Aouar, who tore Man City apart in the Champions League last season, is all but set to join Arsenal this transfer window.
The French playmaker is now as short as 1/20 to join Arsenal now, which equates to a 95% percentage chance he signs. Lyon’s president Jean-Michel Aulas claims that any team would have to complete any transfer for his players by Friday this week, so we shall see if Arsenal make an immediate approach today or tomorrow. Bookmakers seem to think they will.
Could this be the signing that takes Arsenal to the next level? They’re currently priced at +4400 (best odds) to win the Premier League, but you can expect that to shorten if the Aouar transfer goes through. Perhaps more realistically, Mikel Arteta’s men are +200 to finish in the top 4.
