F1 Odds: Charles Leclerc Has Odds Slashed After Nabbing Monaco Grand Prix Pole

On Saturday, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, a Monaco native, put his stamp on the 2022 Monaco Grand Prix by qualifying first for Sunday's race. In the process, Leclerc's F1 odds for the Monaco Grand Prix were slashes as he became the odds-on favorite to win.

Leclerc finished qualifying with a time of 1:11.376, giving him the pole for his home race on Sunday. Leclerc's teammate, Carlos Sainz, qualified second to give Ferrari both top spots for Sunday's race and improve both of their F1 odds.

The Monaco Grand Prix is considered the biggest race of the season and one of the biggest motorsport races in the entire world. So, you can expect F1 odds for the Monaco Grand Prix to be heavily bet. However, Leclerc has never even finished the race, dating all the way back to his Formula 2 days.

Behind the pair of Ferrari drivers were both Red Bull drivers and Sergio Perez qualified third for the Monaco Grand Prix and Max Verstappen, who leads the Driver's Standings, qualified fourth. McClaren's Lando Norris rounded out the top 5.

The second shortest F1 odds for this weekend belong to the driver leading the individual standings, Max Verstappen. Verstappen qualified fourth on Saturday, but his +500 odds are still the second shortest in the field.

Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz both sit at +850, closing out the top four and the only drivers who have F1 odds under +1000 for the Monaco Grand Prix. McLaren's Lando Norris qualified fifth and sits at +4000, implying just a 2.4% chance he wins on Sunday.
