College Football Bowl Game Predictions: Bowl Game Predictions Entering Week 13 of the Season

Not much has changed from my predictions since last weekend. But don't worry, Week 13 will have some games with significant implications that will change the landscape of many teams in college football.

For now, here are my predictions for the New Year's Six Bowl games.

College Football Bowl Game Prediction

Rose Bowl (CFB Semifinal)

Ohio State vs. Michigan Wolverines

This obviously won't happen. Ohio State and Michigan are playing each other this week. But if the season ended before Ohio State-Michigan, we'd have this matchup in the Rose Bowl.

Michigan's the favorite, but everyone wants Ohio State to win. Whoever wins this game in Week 13 could be pushed to the No. 1 spot in the CFP Rankings next weekend. The other team wouldn't make the College Football Playoff.

Sugar Bowl (CFB Semifinal)

Georgia Bulldogs vs. Florida State Seminoles

The Georgia Bulldogs have really turned it on in the second half of the college football season. They beat some outstanding SEC teams by a lot of points. Therefore, the CFB committee has thrown Georgia into the No. 1 spot ahead of Ohio State.

They'd take on a Florida State Seminoles squad that doesn't have Jordan Travis anymore. Travis injured his leg against North Alabama last weekend.

But as long as Florida State defeats Florida and Louisville (in the ACC Championship), the Seminoles will have to be in the College Football Playoff.

Georgia is still the king of college football. Take a look at the latest National Championship odds

Cotton Bowl

Washington Huskies vs. Texas Longhorns

The Huskies still have a chance at making the College Football Playoff after an exciting win over Oregon State on the road, 22-20.

Right now, Washington is on the outside looking in. But when Ohio State and Michigan play, a spot will be waiting for Washington in the College Football Playoff as long as Washington defeats Washington State this weekend.

The Huskies would also need to earn a Pac-12 Championship in the following week to be considered for a CFP berth.

On the other hand, Texas will take on Texas Tech on Friday for a chance at the Big 12 Championship. As long as Texas gets into the Big 12 Championship and wins it, a spot in the Cotton Bowl is likely.

Peach Bowl

Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Oregon Ducks

Alabama dominated Chattanooga and will get another lower-tier opponent in Auburn this weekend. I say that cause Auburn just lost to New Mexico State at home in a buy-game.

Meanwhile, the Oregon Ducks are the Pac-12's second-best team behind Washington. Things could change if Oregon wins the Pac-12 Championship against Washington. However, I won't get ahead of myself.

Oregon will need to defeat Oregon State on Friday before earning a Pac-12 Championship bid.

Orange Bowl

Louisville Cardinals vs. Penn State Nittany Lions

The Louisville Cardinals are potentially in an excellent position to win the ACC this year. They're facing Florida State, who will be without quarterback Jordan Travis.

If Louisville defeats Kentucky this weekend and then earns an ACC Championship, there's a way for the Cardinals to get thrown into the College Football Playoff. But they'd now face a tough opponent in the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Penn State's been great this season. They can't beat Ohio State and Michigan so they won't see the College Football Playoff or the Big Ten Championship this year.

Fiesta Bowl

Tulane Green Wave vs. Missouri Tigers

The Tulane Green Wave will have another chance at earning a massive upset in a bowl game. Last year, Tulane knocked off USC. This year, as long as Tulane beats UTSA on Friday and earns the American Athletic Championship in the following week, the Green Wave will be in another New Year's Six Bowl.

On the other hand, the Missouri Tigers are 9-2. With a win against Arkansas, the Tigers would finish the regular season 10-2. Those two losses came against Georgia and LSU, who are both in the top 15 in college football. They're deserving of a top bowl game.
