Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Odds: Bettors Hammering Mike Tyson to Pull Off Upset Against Jake Paul

Mike Tyson is set to come out of retirement to face Jake Paul in a boxing match that will stream on Netflix on July 20th.

Last week, it was announced that this bout has been sanctioned as a fully professional bout.

Wins and losses will be added to each fighter's record, which many didn't believe would be the case when this was first announced.

Tyson originally retired in 2005 but came back to face Roy Jones in an exhibition match. Now he's back for another bout—a professional one that won't be an "exhibition" match.

You'd have to assume that Tyson will take Jake Paul seriously with this fight sanctioned. The public also agrees with this thought.

Take a look at the betting odds and betting data for this epic boxing showdown between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.

Mike Tyson (59.09%)

There have been rumors circulating that Mike Tyson hasn't appreciated what Jake and Logan Paul have done to boxing.

The Paul brothers ultimately instigated these crossover matches and random, exciting headlines and, to some, made a mockery of the sport.

It's been reported that Tyson hasn't been fond of any of that. Therefore, the thought is that he wants to put it all to rest.

However, the contradiction is apparent. He's coming out of retirement to fight in a real sanctioned boxing match. He's doing precisely what he reportedly doesn't like.

So, who really knows if Tyson believes the Paul's ruined boxing? Tyson has also told the media that Jake Paul is the new face of boxing. So, reports are currently all over the place. This is all just to get the media and fans' attention for the big fight. It's mainly about the ratings.

Either way, Tyson still has explosive speed and power, and if he actually gives it his all and trains consistently, Tyson shouldn't have a problem winning this fight.

However, there are many "ifs" for Tyson, which is why the 57-year-old is still considered an underdog.

Jake Paul (40.91%)

Jake Paul has been very vocal since his fight with Mike Tyson was released. Paul said he respects Tyson but also has to "end him."

Paul is 30 years younger than Tyson and has many advantages because of that. It's also been reported that Paul is trying to bulk up to Anthony Joshua's weight to contend against Mike Tyson.

That would require Paul to get to 240 lbs before he cuts down again. Prior to this fight, he's mostly competed at 190 lbs and is 9-1 in his career. Right now, Paul is apparently sitting at 230lbs. We'll see if the added weight helps his knockout power.

Oddsmakers still believe Paul had more advantages and is currently the favorite to win this bout.
