How are March Madness teams chosen?
The winner of every conference tournament gets an automatic entry. Then the remainding teams are made up by invitations from the selection committee who meet on Selection Sunday, the Sunday before the tournament and decided which teams who didn't automatically qualify deserve a spot in the tournament.
Who is the March Madness selection committee?
The NCAA Men's Division 1 Basketball Committee is a 10 perso strong committee who decide the qualifiers, seeding and the brackets for the NCAA Tournament. It's made up for school and conference administrators who are nominated by their conference.

Why do they seed the teams at March Madness?
On Selection Sunday the committee seed each team on each side of the bracket. These seedings are based on regular and conference tournament performance and the best 4 teams are given the #1 seed, teams ranked 5-8 are #2 seeds and so on.
Who has won the most NCAA Tournaments?
UCLA have won more titles than anybody, with a total of 11. Amazingly they won 10 of those across 12 years between 1964 and 1975. There is a total of 35 teams who have won the Champonship.
Who won March Madness last year?
March Madness didn't take place last year with the NCAA Tournament a casualty of the Covid-19 pandemic. The last winner was Virginia in 2019. Prior to that Villanova had won in 2018 and 2016.
