The first day of the NCAA Championship is in the books and it saw just four victories by underdogs. We opened with a wild game as Minnesota knocked off Louisville and ended it with a Baylor victory over Syracuse. Between that we also saw Florida beat Nevada and the arrival of Ja Morant to the national stage. Perhaps national stage isn't quite right given he was a projected top-3 draft pick already but his triple double, the first since Draymond Green managed it in 2012.
We decided to take a look back at day one's prices and work out how much you'd have won if you'd have successfully parlayed every result. The results were a huge surprise given there was only four results that shocked the sportsbook. The odds came in at a gigantic 457/1, meaning that had you staked $20 you'd have walked away with a profit of $9160. Not a bad return and one that's even more surprising given that some results, Gonzaga for example, were as short as -10000.
