NBA Championship 2021 Odds: Odds Suggest 42% Chance The Championship Goes To LA
Legal sportsbooks have priced up the 2021 NBA Championship and unsurprisingly the Lakers and Clippers are the early favorites. With the Lakers very close securing the 2020 Championship at the time of writing, the bookmakers are convinced that not much will be changing next season, with LeBron James and co the +350 favorites.
They’re certainly not clear favorites however, with the Clippers next in at +400 (4/1) making them nearly joint at the top of the market. The odds imply that a team from Los Angeles have a 42.22% chance of winning the 2021 NBA Championship!
The Bucks and the Warriors are next in the betting while this year’s finalists Miami Heat are not expected to challenge again being priced at +900 (9/1) – a $10 wager would profit $90.
The biggest change from 2020 is almost certainly the Philadelphia 76ers, who were one of the favorites for the 2020 NBA Championship, but find themselves as massive underdogs for 2021, being priced at +3000!
A lot can change in the next few weeks and months with the 2020 Draft and free agency still to come, but the early signs look promising for fans in LA.
