Just a few hours before the first pitch of MLB Opening Day 2020, bettors aren’t giving the Nationals or Giants much of a chance to start the season with a win.

According to DraftKings, a whopping 97% of the money in the run line market on the Yankees vs. Nationals game is on the Yankees -1.5 (+125).

Not to be outdone by the Bronx Bombers, the Dodgers own 99% of the handle in the run line market for their game against the Giants, with almost all the money backing them at -1.5 (-150).

The Yankees and Dodgers are predicted to be two of the best teams in the MLB this season, so it isn’t unbelievable that the majority of bettors would be putting their money behind them. But, the Nationals are the reigning World Series champs and the Giants are fierce rivals with LA, so it’s odd to see almost no money backing them when they’re each getting 1.5 runs.

The Nationals will be without their best hitter, Juan Soto, who tested positive for COVID-19 this week and will sit out Thursday night.
