REX CARVER wasn't an expensive purchase when bought for 14,000gns as a foal and the three-parts brother to Staxton, a very useful performer for Tim Easterby who made a winning debut as a juvenile, may well be the type who knows his job on debut. Dolce Vitta has the advantage of a run under her belt when third at Ascot earlier in the month, while Star Allure and Marry The Night are others capable of being in the mix.
Prediction : 1st Rex Carver 2nd Dolce Vitta 3rd Star Allure

Archie Watson landed a division of this contest 12 months ago and may well do the same with newcomer SEA OF DIAMONDS. She is bred to be precocious, being out of a French juvenile winner, and the yard have shown that they are more than capable of readying one for their debut. Wipeout is one for the shortlist with her half-brother, Chief Mankato, a winner on his racecourse bow last season, while Magic Micky is also considered.
Prediction : 1st Sea Of Diamonds 2nd Wipeout 3rd Magic Micky

James Fanshawe's string have begun to hit full stride over the past 10 days and the Newmarket handler saddles an interesting runner in the shape of MILLITERRIES. All of her juvenile runs suggested she would benefit from stepping up to a mile and an opening mark of 70 is unlikely to hold her back. Sovereign Queen was no match for an easy winner on her return at Newcastle, but she is expected to have more to offer in handicap company. Summit and Purple Martini appeal most of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Milliterries 2nd Sovereign Queen 3rd Summit

Michael Dods has landed two of the previous three renewals of this contest and with that in mind, a chance can be taken on CUBAN STORM. The Havana Grey gelding has been too keen to do himself justice over 6f of late, so it might be that he shows his true colours now dropped to the minimum trip. Pinpoint, a winner at Ayr from a 4lb lower mark three weeks ago, makes obvious appeal, while others to note include Dandy Fitz, Showboated and Whogoesthere.
Prediction : 1st Cuban Storm 2nd Pinpoint 3rd Dandy Fitz

PISANELLO was a shade unfortunate not to have finished closer, having been denied a clear run in the Thirsk Hunt Cup last time out. He's been competing at higher levels of late, too, and a drop into class 4 company, the scene of his latest success, could pay dividends. Arctic Mountain has few miles on the clock and he might be able to take a step forward on his second start following wind surgery. Dawn Of Liberation lurks on a dangerous mark and should not be underestimated, while Elim, who returns from over a year off the track in search of her hat-trick, is also noted.
Prediction : 1st Pisanello 2nd Arctic Mountain 3rd Dawn Of Liberation

A tricky puzzle to solve with the tentative vote going to ODETTE'S BEAU. The son of Churchill made little impact across his three qualifying runs but he is bred to be better than a mark of 52, and today's handicap bow looks a more suitable assignment. Teddy Brown finished a creditable fourth over the mile at Kempton last month and must be considered eased 1lb in the ratings. Socialise heads the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Odettes Beau 2nd Teddy Brown 3rd Socialise

Mayo County has reached the frame on each of her last two outings on the all-weather and she now makes her first start on turf, so it would be no surprise to see her get involved. However, preference is for GEORGIE WOOSTER, who has failed to fire in all three starts to date, but his prices have justified those efforts. Tim Easterby's three-year-old could be seen in a different light on his handicap bow and he gets the vote, while Viridian is another to note in first-time blinkers.
Prediction : 1st Georgie Wooster 2nd Mayo County 3rd Viridian

THE CRAFTY MOLE had Believitanducan (third) four lengths behind in this grade at Wetherby last time and he remains unexposed over this trip. David O'Meara's three-year-old is likely to have plenty more to offer and he can confirm that form, despite being 5lb worse off with his reopposing rival this time around. Little Venice takes a big step up in distance off a 1lb lower mark than her most recent third at Beverley and she is another to watch out for.
Prediction : 1st The Crafty Mole 2nd Believitanducan 3rd Little Venice
