Dashing Darcey has to be of interest following his narrow defeat at Newbury recently, while Grey Cuban and Nellie Leylax also merit places on the shortlist.

GOD'S WINDOW reached the frame in the Group 1 Futurity at Doncaster before making it two wins out of three starts in a minor novice event on his reappearance at Nottingham. John & Thady Gosden's Dubawi colt should relish this step up in trip and, with further improvement highly likely, he is the one to beat. Jayarebe was a smooth winner of the Feilden at Newmarket and has to be taken very seriously, despite his penalty, while Bracken's Laugh is a player after numbering Capulet among his victims at Chelmsford.

Last year's Chester Vase hero ARREST comes into this contest on the back of an underwhelming return to action when only seventh in the John Porter at Newbury. That run was arguably too bad to be true and he is a class act on his day, so he is well worth another chance. Point Lonsdale, who landed the Huxley Stakes at this meeting 12 months ago, is the top-rated in the field and has his first attempt at the distance, while Deauville Legend tries first-time blinkers and is another to note.

Lingfield scorer Inspiritus appreciated the removal of the hood when posting a career-best performance in late March. Roger Varian's gelding warrants respect off a 5lb higher mark and this switch to turf shouldn't prevent another bold bid. However, fellow last-time-out scorer PEARL EYE may prove to be the better handicapped of the pair after winning a shade cosily at Pontefract and the four-year-old could be tough to beat if coping with the quick turnaround. Loyal Touch and Baryshnikov also enter the reckoning.

A 9lb hike in the ratings for that easy victory looks far from insurmountable and Andrew Balding's colt is taken to follow up. The biggest threat may emerge from the progressive Arch Legend, who isn't taken lightly in his quest to land a hat-trick, especially considering he is 4lb well-in. Glistening Nights is a potential improver upped further in distance.
