I’m happy to side with the horse with the most experience in this field in GALACTIC CHARM as it usually counts for plenty early on in the season. This son of Sea The Moon hasn’t done much wrong and if the step up in trip unlocks further improvement then he should make the breakthrough. He ran on well for second at Wolverhampton last month and should be spot on for this now with the field well strung out in behind. Liberty Coach was beaten over 10 lengths on debut but did finish third at Doncaster and if improving looks the danger. Flickering Halo is another one to note.

I was with SHALLOW last time and I’m not about to abandon her as she bids to land a C&D hat-trick. She always looked to be coming home best last time and even up 7lb I think she is the one to beat again given her effectiveness at this venue. She is the most unexposed horse in the field and should get the job done. Mart spurned a good opportunity beaten half a length at Lingfield last time but could still be the danger. Jimmy Speaking is having just his second start in a handicap but didn’t make much impact off a 2lb higher mark when beaten 6 lengths at Yarmouth so needs more.
