1pt R.MacIntyre to win USPGA  40/1 (Unibet, Coral, Ladbrokes, Betuk)

The eye is drawn to a European pairing in Rose and MacIntyre and it wouldn't surprise me if the springer from the pack came from this pair.

Rose had a similar experience when winning the US Open and it's MacIntyre who could benefit the most from this two ball. The Scot played with Rose in the Ryder Cup halving a match against Homa and Clark then beating Thomas and Spieth on the Saturday.

That experience will mean he is comfortable in his surroundings here and with this being his first real chance to win a Major the 18 holes alongside someone who helped him so much back in September in a similar cauldron will be priceless.

MacIntyre displayed the fireworks he is capable of when making a huge run in the Scottish last Summer only to be pipped by a miracle final hole by McIlroy and he won't be afraid to step up this evening.

Robert Macintrye - 1pt @ 40/1

1pt J.Rose to win USPGA  40/1 (AK Bets), 33/1 (General)

Of the two I prefer MacIntyre but I can't help but feel Rose's chances have increased also. It has been a long time since the Englishman has been in this position and he too will benefit from the pairing, and the fact he's the 'mentor' in the group may just take his mind off the enormity of the task ahead.

In 2013 Rose played his final round alongside Luke Donald and there's little doubt this contributed to his performance that Sunday.

Rose showed his metal here at Valhalla back in 2008 when beating Mickelson in the singles in the Ryder Cup and it could pay not to underestimate his desire and ability to land another Major this evening.

0.75pt each-way T.Fleetwood lowest final round score  33/1  (1/4 5) Skybet, Paddypower (Unibet 1/5 5)

My final bet of the week will go on Tommy Fleetwood to shoot the lowest round score on day four. The Englishman has a habit of finishing events off well, especially those where he's slightly out of contention.

He came from 9th on the final day at the masters to get to the fringes of contention after the opening nine holes to eventually finish 3rd, shooting 69. Earlier in the year a 63-67 finish in Dubai saw him pip McIlroy to that title.

However, it's Shinnecock in 2018 and LACC in 2023 that has my eye drawn to him today. On those two long US Open layouts he finished with 63 on both occasions to finish 5th and 2nd respectively.

With the pressure off he has a habit of holing plenty of putts and it wouldn't surprise me if he shoots through the field once again this evening and continue an impressive run of results in the games big four tournaments.

0.5pt each-way R.Hisatsune lowest final round score  100/1  (1/4 5) Skybet, Paddypower

In similar tactics to the bets on MacIntyre and Rose I'm happy to have a flyer on Ryo Hisatsune for the lowest final round score also.

The Japanese star won the Open de France at le Golf National last September and has since posted three top 20 finishes on the PGA Tour.

Today in only his second Major he is now paired with fellow countryman Hideki Matsuyama. This may prove beneficial in the immediate future with what he learns today, but at 100/1 looks worth chancing today.

He lies just outside the top 20 with a round to go and has no pressure today in a comfortable pairing.

Justin Rose - 1pt @ 40/1
