Fulham vs Crystal Palace

Football betting analyst Mark O’Haire is back with his latest Premier League predictions for this weekend’s matches.

You can find his long shot for the weekend football here.

Daniel Munoz Over 2.5 Tackles

Advised Bet: 1pt @ 1/1 Ladbrokes

Crystal Palace’s renaissance continued in midweek as the Eagles swept Newcastle aside in an eye-catching 2-0 success. Oliver Glasner’s group went for the jugular from the off, putting the Magpies under plenty of pressure and picking up a deserved three points.

Eberechi Eze, Michael Olise and Jean-Philippe Mateta have all rightfully been lauded for their form in the final-third, but Daniel Munoz is also worth a mention.

Since slotting into the side at right-back (or wing-back), the Columbian has been a formidable part of Palace’s rearguard with his aggressive approach impressing Eagles supporters.

In midweek, Munoz racked up nine tackles, following an eight-tackle haul against West Ham last weekend. It means the 27-year-old has now posted tackle numbers of 9-8-6-3-3-4 across his last six Premier League starts, yet we’re being offered 1/1 (2.00) on a repeat of 3+ Tackles for Saturday’s showdown against Fulham at Craven Cottage. I’m taking it.

Aston Villa vs Chelsea

Nicolas Jackson Over 1.5 Offsides

Advised Bet: 1pt @ 10/11 Ladbrokes

Aston Villa are the undoubted offside kings of the Premier League – Unai Emery’s men have caught their opposition offside 150 times this term (an average of 4.41 per-game). The next best return in the top-flight is Tottenham with 102 (3.00) highlighting the proficiency of the Villans high defensive line.

This weekend Emery’s outfit welcome Chelsea to Villa Park and it’s difficult to resist the 10/11 (1.91) from Ladbrokes on Nicolas Jackson being flagged at least twice.

The Senegalese speedster likes to play off the last man and is a regular in the offsides column. In fact, only Darwin Nunez (30) has been caught offside more often than Jackson (26) this season, with three of his overall total arriving in the reverse game against Vila.

Moises Caicedo Over 1.5 Fouls

Advised Bet: 1pt @ 4/5 bet365

Chelsea have endured a difficult week – dumped out of the FA Cup at the semi-final stage at Wembley last weekend before being annihilated by Arsenal at The Emirates on Tuesday night, a performance that prompted Mauricio Pochettino to label his side ‘soft’. The Blues boss will be hoping for an immediate reaction against Aston Villa on Saturday evening.

I’ll be focusing my approach on Moises Caicedo in the middle of Chelsea’s midfield. The all-action Ecuadorian was in fine fouling mood against Manchester City at Wembley, collecting a card alongside his four fouls. And with 15 of his 27 Premier League starts also delivering at least a couple of misdemeanours, the opportunity to back a repeat at 4/5 (1.80) on bet365 appeals.

Aston Villa are the fourth-most fouled EPL side this season, with their average fouls-drawn figures increasing at Villa Park. The hosts welcome Douglas Luiz back from suspension here and so should be well-set for a fascinating midfield battle against the Blues.
