Eurovision 2024 is fast approaching, who is favourite to win it all and when does it begin?
The much anticipated Eurovision 2024 is just around the corner as 37 countries are gearing up to compete for the 68th edition of the song contest.
The UK will send Olly Alexander to Malmo, Sweden this year as they hope to improve on their 25th placed finish last year.
However, the global pop star faces fierce competition from acts such as Croatia's Baby Lasagna and Switzerland's Nemo who have been popular in the early betting markets.
So, when does the event take place and who is the most likely to be etched in Eurovision history?

When is Eurovision 2024?
Eurovision 2024 will be held in Malmö, Sweden at the Malmö Arena due to their victory in last year's competition with Loreen's song 'Tatoo'.
The First Semi-Final takes place on 7 May 2024 and 15 countries will compete.
The Second Semi-Final on 9 May 2024 features 16 countries competing for a spot in the Grand Final.
Germany, Sweden, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain and Sweden all automatically qualify for the finals.
However, this year they will all perform in between the competing countries semi-final acts.
Olly Alexander will perform the United Kingdom’s song Dizzy during the first Semi-Final on Tuesday 7th May 2024.
The Grand Final will take place on Saturday 11th May.

Eurovision 2024: Who are the favourites to win?
Currently, Switzerland occupy the top spot in the betting with their entrant Nemo who will perform their song 'The Code'.
This would be Switzerland's first Eurovision victory since Céline Dion won in 1988.
