Two horses are battling for favouritism ahead of Sunday’s 1000 Guineas.
Fallen Angel, Ylang Ylang, Dance Sequence and French contender Ramatuelle are just a few of the leading contenders after 20 were kept in contention at the confirmation stage for a wide open looking 1000 Guineas at Newmarket.
It will be a seasonal bow in Sunday's race for the marginal favourite Fallen Angel, last seen winning the Group 1 Moyglare Stakes at the Curragh in September where she beat Vespertilio into second.
Vespertilio hasn’t run since but the dead heated third Porta Fortuna who was beaten 5 ¾ lengths that day went on to win the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes on her next start and then went on to finish 2nd in the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf.

Preference for Steve Ryder goes to Fallen Angel (tipped at 7/2), despite the fact she lost her unbeaten record last July on soft ground at Sandown in a listed race behind Shuwari who has since finished 2nd behind Ylang Ylang in the Group 1 Fillies’ Mile.
