LIV Golf Masters Odds: Who Will Be The Top LIV Golf Player at This Week's Masters?

LIV Golf Masters Odds: Who Will Be The Top LIV Golf Player at This Week's Masters?

There are 13 LIV Golfers in The Masters field this week, but which of them has the best chance of winning? We break down the LIV Golfers below.

LIV Golf continues to divide opinion, but one thing that cannot be denied is the number of top stars now turning out for the breakaway league each event.

Jon Rahm is the latest superstar to join the league, and when you add him to star names like Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka, Cam Smith, and Bryson DeChambeau, suddenly there is every reason to pay attention to what's happening on the rival tour.

In addition to the leading names, players like Joaquin Niemann, who was on the precipice of breaking into the world's top 10 before the move to LIV, Tyrrell Hatton and Patrick Reed who come with their own personalities, and former Masters winners, Sergio Garcia, Bubba Watson, and Charl Schwartzel all made the move, so it is hard to avoid all of these players in the majors.

The one name left out of the 13 so far is Adrian Meronk, who is not a former Masters winner, has not won or contended in a major, nor was he on the brink of the top 10 in the world. He was a very strong DP World Tour player, and he was looking to add depth to the PGA Tour, but his move away is arguably the least impactful of the players teeing it up this week.

As you can see, Jon Rahm is the standout option among the LIV Golfers when it comes to this week's Masters. This makes perfect sense given he is the Defending Champion and there is still some relatively recent PGA Tour form to hang your hat on. It is however a tough thing to defend your title here at Augusta.

Phil Mickelson defied the odds last year to finish T2 with an incredible Sunday round, and while it is unlikely lightning strikes twice, we know Augusta veterans continue to play well here for years, and Lefty will have his backers at 200/1.

Brooks Koepka will look to bounce back from last year's Sunday meltdown when he gifted the Green Jacket to Jon Rahm, who kept the pressure on when Koepka was struggling with his own game. Koepka righted the ship very quickly though, winning the next major, the PGA Championship, and he will be keen to win here, after two 2nd-place finishes.

Which LIV Golf Masters Odds Look the Best Value?

Brooks Koepka will always be well-supported at the majors, and as he continues to drift out to a now appealing 20/1, he surely represents some of the best value in the market. We are going to pass on Jon Rahm at 12/1 based on how hard it is to win back-to-back Masters, so it makes sense to look at the second most likely winner, that is Koepka.

Joaquin Niemann is proving popular this week, based on his Australian Open win at the end of 2023, and his two LIV Golf wins in 2024, but he is still yet to post a major top 10. In fact, his T16 finish here last year remains his best Masters start.

Bryson DeChambeau is another one of the shorter-priced LIV Golfers this week, but he too has failed to make that big of an impact at Augusta, never bettering his T21 finish as an amateur here.

Cameron Smith is the next eye-catching LIV Golfer. The Aussie finished T2 two starts ago on LIV, to suggest he's in good enough form, and while motivation is a factor in that league, we know he will be well up for this. He did pull out last week with illness, but one would assume he'll be ready to go tomorrow.

Smith has three top 5 finishes and a further top 10 to his name here at Augusta National, and if it wasn't for the brilliance of Dustin Johnson in 2020 and Scottie Scheffler in 2022, he might have got closer to winning the Green Jacket already.

Last year, Smith finished top 10 in both the PGA Championship (T9) and the U.S. Open (T4), and he's creeping out into a price that looks too big for a player of his talents, and his Masters record.

Patrick Reed is already a Masters winner and has remained competitive here since win in 2018, with three further top 10 finishes at Augusta, including a T4 last week. He's not been good on LIV this year, but the American constantly has something to prove, and he looks capable of playing well here again this year. One for the extended each-way betting markets.

Top LIV Golfer Betting Market

There is also just a Top LIV Golfer Betting Market, where you can bet on the top player from the breakaway tour, without factoring in PGA Tour and DP World Tour regulars.

That's right, in this market, you can worry less about the rest of the field, and focus solely on how the 13 players play amongst themselves at Augusta this week. Chances are if you think any of the LIV Golfers have a chance of winning, then you are going to want to bet them in this market as well, but is there any additional value in doing so?

Let's look at the odds.

  • Jon Rahm (11/4)
  • Brooks Koepka (11/2)
  • Joaquin Niemann (6/1)
  • Bryson DeChambeau (8/1)
  • Cameron Smith (9/1)
  • Dustin Johnson (10/1)
  • Tyrrell Hatton (12/1)
  • Patrick Reed (14/1)
  • Sergio Garcia (20/1)
  • Adrian Meronk (35/1)
  • Phil Mickelson (35/1)
  • Bubba Watson (45/1)
  • Charl Schwartzel (66/1)

Rather than betting Cameron Smith in the outright market, and getting 8/1 if he places in the top 8, with your 40/1 each-way odds, you could get an extra point betting on him to be the Top LIV Golfer. If he were to place in the top 8, you have to think he has a great chance to be the leading LIV Golfer this week, and you can even bet this market to 3 each-way places.

Patrick Reed also looks good value and is a genuine each-way bet in this market at 14/1.

Alternatives Ways to Bet on LIV Golfers at Augusta This Week

These are just some of the bets we think look like good value this week at Augusta when it comes to the LIV Golf contingent.

  • Brooks Koepka 20/1 to win (William Hill)
  • Cameron Smith 4/1 to finish inside the top 10 (Paddy Power)
  • Phil Mickelson to make the cut 5/4 (Coral)

Koepka looks more than capable of winning and we have already outlined Cameron Smith's Masters record, and why he might be being overlooked, especially in the Top 10 market.

Phil Mickelson has made 27 of his 30 cuts at Augusta, last missing the cut in 2016, and before that, his only other two missed cuts came in 2014 and 1997. The three-time winner probably won't perform the Sunday miracles he did last year again, but he can make the weekend.
